OOC News
We have two new characters! Hibi has a first year Trenton, Lucas Hamilton, and Yoiko has a third year Vorinsky, Shurik Vorinsky! Both are transfer students; they may be on campus and around this week, but they start classes after next week.
We also have two drops. Myf dropped Joshua, so she can focus on Ashtaroth. Harriet dropped Harriet, who has moved to another room.
This week has three OOC weeks to it! Doom is out of town from October 16 to 19, which we’ll work around with our event running, but we want people to know about up front for planning purposes! This will be a busy IC week.
Last Week…
On Sunday, Chisaki and Harriet went shooting. Harriet was frustrated that she was not a surprise genius with firearms.
The Rooftop Gang met before clubs on Monday, to discuss what they found so far. Vanya, however, couldn’t make it. They discussed the Almagoras crystal found inside of the teacher’s lounge; they also discovered some tension with Reina, about the massacre at Tours...
On Monday in Dance Club, Kate annoyed Reina with the power of breakdancing.
On Tuesday at Sword Club, Val got Rhys to come along with her and Reina into an exploration of the Tower’s spirits. Lera and Val also agreed to try imbued glowy
Later that evening, Lera and Vanya brewed cider for Rhys to taste. Lera’s was great. Vanya’s was… unique.
Rhys and Tristan decided to keep up things from the tournament, and sparred on Wednesday.
Harriet taught Valentina the basics of Imbuing on Wednesday.
Also on Wednesday, there was a market for students to get supplies for finals. Mirela talked with Tristan and met Asmo, who was trying to sell her something. And Nayan took the chance to grill Vanya about his love life (or lack thereof) with Julian!
Kate and Rhys shared backstories and traumas on Wednesday.
Vanya and Julian met for lunch. Halloween plans were hatched -- and so were plans for tricks!
On Thursday, Lera and Madi got high.
Tristan spoke to Isabella on Thursday, who claimed that the Board of Directors knows there is a danger inside of the Tower. She doesn’t like it, and plans to keep an eye out in case something goes wrong.
Then Tristan went to check up on Cassidy, and warned him about the danger posed to students from Castillo and Patisse, based on Isabella’s theories.
Vanya caught Kate in a trap on Thursday, to get caught up… but they also had a confrontation as certain facts about Kate’s family came out.
Rhys, Reina, and Val entered the Tower to speak with spirits on Thursday instead of going to clubs. They met Goodfellow the Imp, who they questioned about the Crimson Shambler and the Tower in general.
On Friday, Harriet moved out of Reina and Val’s dorm due to being reassigned to a newly arrived transfer student’s room.
Rhys and Vanya went out for a training run on Friday. Vanya had some questions for Rhys.
On Saturday, the Trenton kids went to get pizza.
...This Week!
Exams begin this week! This means there are no clubs, because they would rather let people study and recuperate from exams they just took.
Monday and Tuesday are review days. The classes will be relatively light and optional, but people who care about grades and what their teachers think should attend them. These will go over the material that will be on the tests. Class periods on Wednesday and Thursday have the exams themselves, in every class; the more hands-on classes use competitions, while the more theoretical classes have essay tests.
On Thursday evening, there will be snacks in the cafeteria and a chance for characters to take a deep breath and relax before the Tower exams begin the next day. This will be a vaguely Halloween-themed gathering.
On Friday, the Tower exams will occur. This is when plot will kick in and a realistic chance of getting hurt for some characters. Characters will be put into teams of three, and sent into the Tower to reach a designated finish line. These teams mix years and levels of skill; the idea is that older students can learn from having to watch and protect the younger students while they progress through the exam.
Each Tower exam consists of three main challenges. One tends to be combat-based, a second tends to be based on movement (such as avoiding dangerous obstacles), and the other is a puzzle. The order they’re arranged in varies; however, the last one is the hardest, so a battle last would be a boss battle, for example. Between challenges, there is a lot of walking, minor obstacles, and random encounters. Maps and pencils are provided; you are encouraged to fill out your own maps.
The mods’ efforts will be focused on three groups! We strongly encourage the first two of these three groups to have some mixture of Rhys, Riona, Reina, Val, Vanya, and Kate. They will face normal challenges at first, but the third challenges will be plot-based and very different than others; they will also likely be brought together. You can sit these out if you like, because there is a danger of getting your character hurt (but we’ll refrain from actually killing or permanently maiming anybody). If one of them sits out, their slot can be replaced.
A third group will become involved by happenstance. Mirela and a Tex alt have a reserved slot for this, if they want it, since they have not been greatly involved so far (at least as a player, on Tex's end). There will also be a high level of danger here.
Other teams are going to be self-GMed by the participants, for the mods to keep their focus/and keep the speeds up. You can handwave your other characters’ Tower participation if you like, but we encourage you to thread this part out!
On Saturday, there will be announcements from the school following the major plot events that occur on Friday.
Weather
The weather stays in the 50’s until Tuesday. Then it begins to snow lightly on Tuesday night, and keeps snowing from Tuesday night through Thursday morning. By Friday, it’s in the upper 20’s and snowy everywhere. Except for the Tower, which is always temperate.

On Thursday, a Brazilian airplane crashes into a heavily populated part of Sao Paolo. 103 people are tragically killed.

He's good defensively with his barriers and likes to throw card-bombs at things and I like to think he's pretty intelligent and should be good at puzzles (assuming it's a puzzle I can figure out >_>). He is also judgmental tho so whoever he's stuck with will get judged at every turn. :x
